MARSHALLTOWN, IA --- Marshalltown residents and shoppers have another place to dine at Marshall Town Center.
China Buffet, owned by Marshalltown resident Andy Xuelin, is the newest addition to the shopping center’s list of dining establishments. The new eatery, located near the front entry to the mall on Center Street, opened in June.
The casual dining restaurant will serve Oriental cuisine with numerous buffet and entrée selections. The extensive menu selection includes soups, fried rice, sweet and sour entrees, chicken, pork, beef and seafood offerings. Chef’s specials including: General Tso’s chicken and a hot and spicy Kun Pao Triple Delight, will be featured daily.
China Buffet also will offer a moderately priced daily lunch buffet, dinner buffet, and all day dinner buffet on Sunday. Xuelin, who has more than 14 years experience in the restaurant business, determined that the market was in need of the new resaturant. “I’m confident that diners will appreciate the traditional recipes that I have been preparing,” said Xuelin, who previously owned and operated another restaurant in the Marshalltown area.
China Buffet is decked out in a neutral décor, including wood trim, which creates a pleasant dining environment and is large enough to comfortably seat 100 patrons.
Marshall Town Center is home to Younkers, JCPenney, Bath & Body Works, Kay Jewelers, Christopher & Banks, Plaza 9 Theatres, Maurices, and other specialty stores.
