College Square Mall unveils new look
CEDAR FALLS, IA --- College Square Mall unveiled its new look this week, an eye-catching transformation that provides shoppers with a fresh, new environment and new amenities.
The renovation also includes a new, expanded Hy-Vee supermarket and an expansion of College Square Theatres to 12 screens. The projects represent a combined $20.5 million investment.
Interior improvements include new lighting and ceramic flooring, soft seating areas, three new restrooms, including a family rest room, a refurbished waterfall and ornamental arches.
Hy-Vee one of the nation’s top 200 supermarket chains opened its new, 80,600-square-foot store on the west side of the mall. The self-contained store is a combination food and drug center featuring an international food court, a Hy-Vee HealthMarket department, and a pharmacy with drive-up service.
Cinema Entertainment Corporation will show off four more screens to the eight already in operation at College Square. The new wall-to-wall screens are equipped with digital sound, high back rockers and a system for the hearing impaired.
