Lufkin Mall retailer expansions, updates and renovations

Construction and renovation throughout Lufkin Mall and the equivalent of store musical chairs is underway as two leading retailers completed significant store expansions and other stores moved to new locations.

Bath & Body Works expanded its store to 3,381 square-feet from 2,500 square-feet of space in a new location in center court. The store moved July 2017 to a temporary space next to GNC.

Victoria’s Secret doubled its footprint to take 7,566 square-feet of space, by adding additional retail showroom space on one side of its current location. The popular store moved to a temporary location next to Justice, across the main mall corridor, during the construction phase.

Another retailer, Glitter, also moved during  construction. New flooring throughout, painting, landscape enhancements, and parking lot lighting upgrades are some of the updates underway at Lufkin.

“We’re excited that two long time tenants are expanding and remodeling their stores to provide consumers with an enhanced shopping experience,” said Sean Griffin, Lufkin Mall general manger. “The retailers’ investment in Lufkin Mall reinforces the mall’s strong retail position.”

“Bath and Body Works and Victoria’s Secret at Lufkin Mall are destination stores for East Texas consumers, which helps drive the success of these merchants and Lufkin Mall,” he added.

Ramping up their space allows each store to expand and add to their merchandise categories. At Bath & Body Works, shoppers will find an extensive White Barn Candle Company boutique, featuring signature scented candles and upscale home fragrance items. The expanded Victoria’s Secret will include a PINK boutique, its signature sister brand, which offers brightly colored lounge wear, intimates, swim wear and more.

Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret opened in their expanded spaces for the 2017 holiday season.
